The College of Fisheries - Freshwater Aquaculture Center (CF-FAC) regularly invites international experts to give lectures in the field of fisheries science in line of its internationalization efforts.
Dr. Michael A. Rice, a globally known expert in aquaculture and fisheries from the Department of Fisheries, Animal, and Veterinary Sciences, College of the Environment and Life Sciences, University of Rhode Island (URI), USA, delivered a lecture on "Shellfish Sanitation and Ensuring Sanitary Quality “.
The seminar was hosted by Dr. Lorenz J. Fajardo, the CF Acting Dean, and with commending support from Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, CLSU's Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs, who delivered the welcome remarks to the resource person and student participants.
Dr. Hazel Monica M. Peralta, Head of the Department of Aquatic Resources, Ecology and Management, moderated the open forum, while the CF-CLSU faculty and staff played an integral role in the success of the event.
Dr. Karl Marx A. Quiazon, the FAC Director, highlighted the future partnership of CF-FAC, CLSU and URI in research, extension, and instruction in his closing remarks.
