As the College of Fisheries in Central Luzon State University continues its conquest for the attainment of quality in education as an integral part of the higher education systems in the Philippines, the Master of Science in Aquaculture program is currently undertaking the AACCUP (Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc.) Accreditation Level IV Phase 1 (2nd cycle) from November 28 to December 2, 2022.

Aside from the MS Aquaculture, other curricular programs of the University such as Master of Science in Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Development Education are subjected to this accreditation.

The online Opening Program of this academic exercise was conducted last November 28 which was being graced by Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, OIC for OVPAA and the Acting Dean of the College of Fisheries. The University Officials were presented by Mr. Jaypee S. de Guzman, University and Board Secretary. The Accreditation Task Force of the three curricular programs was presented by the Director of Quality Assurance Office, Dr. Eden S. David. Meanwhile, Dr. Laureana M. Lingan, AACCUP Overall Accreditation, was tasked to introduce the AACCUP Evaluators and to orient on the mechanics of evaluation. On behalf of the University President, the VP for Administration, Dr. Danilo S. Vargas gave his message.

The following are the expected activities for the second day of the accreditation: classroom observation; interview with MS Aquaculture faculty members, students and alumni, and University Officials; virtual tour and interview of extension beneficiaries; and virtual tour of physical facilities and laboratories.
