The phytoandrogen project of CLSU-FAC-CF (2012-2014) was funded by DOST-PCAARRD and was implemented by Dr. Tereso A. Abella, Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Ms. Jamaica Mendoza, Mr. Drexell Jay Dollente, Ms. Michelle Abella and Mr. Erick Aldwin Suarez. The pilot phase project (2015-2016) with Ms. Lourdes Noscal paved the way for Dr. Velasco as one of the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) program of the UK-Newton Agham (Batch 2). She completed a residential training at the Royal Academy of Engineering in London and a landing program at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).
With Central Luzon State University as the applicant, a request for Philippine Utility Model was filed on February 2019 at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.
ASEAN-FEN is a team of university-based consortia representing the 36 fisheries and aquaculture oriented institutions within Southeast Asian region.
The Utility Model certificate was formally awarded by the University President, Dr. Edgar A. Orden on June 1, 2022.
