The College of Fisheries โ Central Luzon State University (CF-CLSU) organized a recognition program for its new fisheries professionals on November 11, 2023 at the Freshwater Aquaculture Center (FAC) Conference Room.
During her welcome remarks, Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, underscored the importance of judiciously utilizing professional licenses. The new fisheries professionals recounted their journey from the review process to successfully passing the board examination. In summary, they emphasized the significance of reading and staying focused on one's goals as essential elements for success. To motivate students to understand and contribute to the institution's objectives, Ms. Cherry Ann G. Kindipan, CF Review Coordinator, presented CLSU's performance in the last 7 Fisheries Professional Licensure Examinations (FPLE). In her closing remarks, Dr. Lorenz J. Fajardo, CF Acting Dean, elaborated on how the outcomes of the board examination influence the parameters used to assess the success of the college's programs.
The event was attended by 11 out of the 23 new fisheries professionals, along with CF faculty members, staff, and students. It was facilitated by CF with the assistance of the Ichthyological Society (IS) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Scholarsโ Association. In the same event, the Alpha Sigma Phi โ Delta Iota (ASP) and IS were acknowledged for their support during the 18th FPLE Review Class conducted from July 22 โ September 16, 2023.
