In a bid to inspire and educate future fisheries professionals, the topnotcher of 2023 Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination, Mr. Adrian Dela Cruz, who is also currently pursuing an MS in Aquaculture at the College of Fisheries, CLSU, was invited as a speaker for the webinar entitled "Echoes of Achievement: Unveiling the Path to Success" held via Zoom on May 18, 2024.
During the webinar, Mr. Dela Cruz shared his arduous journey from pre-review to the release of results for the FTLE which is known for its difficulty. Despite encountering numerous challenges, he emphasized the importance of resilience, perseverance, and humility. Offering valuable insights into effective review techniques and examination strategies, he also disclosed the benefits of achieving topnotcher status.
An open forum provided the 96 attendees, including faculty, staff, and students from various year levels and colleges, with the opportunity to engage directly with Mr. Dela Cruz. The webinar was organized by fourth-year FISH 4398 students under the mentorship of Dr. Lorenz J. Fajardo, aimed to inspire and educate individuals aspiring to take the board exam. Hosted by Ms. Angel Eroles and Ms. Imelda Rose Pimentel, the event left a lasting impact on all participants, encouraging them to pursue excellence in their academic and professional endeavors.
